Some of our Champions

London First

London First is a membership organisation, with the mission to make London the best place in the world for business. We’re focused on keeping our capital working for the whole of the UK.

We've galvanised the business community to bring pragmatic solutions to London's challenges over the years.

We have been instrumental in establishing the Mayor of London, pioneered Teach First, driven the campaign for Crossrail and, most recently, lobbied for government action on airport capacity, leading to the approval of a new Heathrow runway.

Now, we are working on solutions to what our business leaders see as the top priorities for our capital: talent, housing and transport.

We also scan the horizon, link with other cities, and support our members on the key issues that will keep our capital globally competitive.

MMI Engineering are world leaders in resilience and risk management; providing technical consulting, insight and solutions across critical infrastructure sectors. Using our innovative, multi-faceted resilience framework that measures “resilience in the round” we provide a robust method for risk identification.  This is supported by the development of pragmatic implementable technical solutions to help our clients to manage and actually reduce their risk exposures.

With over 60 staff across offices in the US, UK and Australia, we specialise in the analysis, mitigation and management of risks posed by natural and man-made hazards present in a range of industries through expertise drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds including research, design, consulting, construction, and operations.

Our approach is centered on delivering value to customers, investors and other stakeholders. Most of our business is from repeat clients that enjoy our personalised approach and provision of clear advice on complex problems that helps their decision making, solves their problems and opens new opportunities.

We believe that understanding the potential risks and opportunities to a business allows both to be managed effectively, thus ensuring business resilience and providing insight into areas of potential competitive advantage.

UK Power Networks

UK Power Networks is one of the UK’s largest Distribution Network Operators, covering the East of England, the South East of England, and London. It is our job to ensure the infrastructure that brings power to homes, businesses, hospitals, schools and other public services continues to deliver reliable, safe and sustainable electricity for today and tomorrow. Our responsibilities include maintaining the safety and reliability of the electricity networks, connecting new customers’ premises to electricity, and extending and upgrading the electricity network to meet changing needs as our economy transitions to low carbon. From underground cables to overhead power lines, small rural substations to complex delivery networks in the capital, we’re working on the electricity network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, making sure the lights don’t go out. Safety and customer service and costs are our top priorities, these are at the heart of everything we do.
